Nepal Gaja Development Foundation (NGDF)

Gandaki Province, Baglung Nepal

Infrastructural Development and Quality Service Delivery

NGDF strives to enhance the quality of essential services such as education, healthcare, nutrition, drinking water, roads, and community amenities to ensure equitable access and improved living standards for all.

Addressing Vulnerability and Disaster Response

We prioritize immediate and effective responses to vulnerabilities and crises arising from natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and disease outbreaks, ensuring the safety and resilience of affected communities.

Resource Utilization and Livelihood Enhancement

NGDF empowers local communities by leveraging natural resources and promoting livelihood options through skills development, capacity building, community-based microfinance, and productive farming initiatives that contribute to sustainable economic growth.

Nepal Gaja Development Foundation achieved significant milestones across multiple programs.

The organization successfully operated a day care center for children with intellectual disabilities, providing daily services, life skills training, and social integration activities. The "Nutrition Quality Enhancement" project improved public health in rural areas by supporting 47 farmers with agricultural inputs, conducting training on post-harvest storage, and facilitating women’s health and nutrition awareness sessions. The "Aatmanirbhar Baglung" program, in partnership with Heifer International, empowered 2,600 families through self-help groups, distributed livestock, provided agricultural training, and promoted organic farming. The "Ecotourism for Income and Employment" initiative trained 93 people in homestay management and promoted local agricultural products for sustainable tourism. Lastly, under the "President’s Women Upliftment Livelihood Improvement Program," 50 underprivileged women received grants and training in agriculture and animal husbandry, leading to successful business ventures in farming and livestock rearing.
