About Us
Nepal Gaja Development Foundation (NGDF), Baglung, formerly known as Gaja Youth Club (GYC), is a prominent independent, non-governmental social organization in Nepal. Since its establishment in 1993, NGDF has been a transformative force in advancing development solutions throughout the Dhaulagiri region. The foundation envisions a world where equal rights to survival, protection, development, and participation are guaranteed, particularly for those marginalized due to socio-economic and political disparities. NGDF places a special emphasis on empowering children, women, and marginalized communities by setting comprehensive development goals aimed at fostering a transformed, interdependent society.
NGDF operates through its head office and multiple field offices in various project districts and clusters, ensuring on-the-ground impact across regions. The organization is registered with the District Administration Office (DAO) Baglung, registration number 221, and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), affiliation number 6325. NGDF also partners with several umbrella organizations, including the NGO Federation, the National Federation of Disabled and CBR National Network, the National Campaign for Education, Child Consortium Nepal, and the Association for Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON). All projects undergo prior approval from the Social Welfare Council and the respective District Development Committees, ensuring transparency and alignment with local regulations. NGDF’s work stands as a beacon of hope, advancing equity, and holistic development for the most vulnerable groups in Nepal.
